Jon Eiseman was born in New York City on September 10, 1965. He lived in Atlanta for many years, where he worked in various facets of design, including storefront interiors, illustration, package design, fabric design, and stage sets. He began painting full-time while in Atlanta, in 1989. He moved to Florida in the early 2000's, where his creativity thrived. Jon passed away at home on February 16, 2011; his death has left the world a much less vibrant place. Jon typically used markers, watercolors, and crayons on paper, metal, and other surfaces to create elaborate, swirling portraits and depictions of nature. His work is included in many private and corporate collections, including Citibank; RJ Reynolds; Macy's; Nynex; the State of Israel; Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art; The Ritz-Carlton; Atlanta's High Museum of Art; and the Richmond Museum.
